Ms. Moran's practice focuses on corporate insolvency and restructuring, representing both creditors' and equity committees, as well as commercial creditors both in substantive bankruptcy issues as well as bankruptcy-related litigation matters. This includes representing commercial creditors in the enforcement of their creditors’ rights in state and federal court, disputes over allowance of their claims, defenses of avoidance actions, contract assumption and rejection, and other related issues.
Ms. Moran also has extensive experience counseling small and medium-sized business clients on commercial transactions and related litigation. She has expertise in a wide range of corporate and commercial contracts, including real property leases, commercial loans, asset acquisitions, supplier and distribution contracts, and sales and marketing agreements.
Prior to joining PivotPoint, Ms. Moran practiced law at Winston & Strawn LLP and Simpson, Thatcher & Bartlett LLP. At Winston, she primarily represented creditors' committees and commercial creditors in major bankruptcies and related litigation. At Simpson, Ms. Moran focused on corporate and securities law and negotiated and prepared determinative documents in a wide range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private financing and private equity investments.
